Senior Backend Engineer

We’re an innovative SaaS company developing infrastructure for the next generation of digital health platforms. Our mission is to improve healthcare outcomes by enabling providers and organizations to manage, share, and analyze health data securely and efficiently. We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer with strong API expertise to help shape and scale our platform’s backend services.

What you will do

You’ll play a key role in designing and implementing backend APIs and microservices that form the core of our platform. From data privacy to integration layers, you’ll work on complex backend systems that enable critical health features for a growing international user base.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and backend services
• Lead and contribute to system architecture, refactoring efforts, and service integrations
• Ensure backend code is modular, testable, and resilient
• Introduce new technologies and development processes as the platform evolves
• Mentor junior developers and support team-wide technical growth
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and deployment strategies in a cloud-native environment

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of backend development experience in a production environment
• Strong skills in designing APIs and building distributed backend systems
• Experience with TypeScript or Node.js (Golang experience is a plus)
• Solid understanding of NoSQL databases, message queues, and event-driven design
• High standards for code quality, architecture, and documentation
• Comfortable working in a cross-functional team environment and mentoring others
