Lead UI Engineer

We are a fast-growing SaaS company building digital tools for climate action and sustainability teams. Our mission is to empower organizations to track, reduce, and report their environmental impact through beautifully designed and easy-to-use software. We are looking for a Lead UI Engineer to own and elevate the frontend architecture of our platform.

What you will do

As a Lead UI Engineer, you'll lead a small team of frontend engineers to develop and maintain the interface that helps climate professionals make data-driven decisions. You'll work closely with design, product, and engineering leadership to build elegant, fast, and consistent UIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the frontend architecture and set technical direction for our UI stack
• Build and maintain features using React, TypeScript, and modern tooling
• Collaborate with product and design teams to translate vision into clean code
• Own and evolve our design system for consistency and scalability
• Mentor other engineers and drive code quality through reviews and best practices
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and responsiveness across devices

What we are looking for

• 6+ years of frontend engineering experience, with deep React knowledge
• Experience leading or mentoring developers in a production setting
• Strong eye for design, animation, and UI detail
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS-in-JS, and component-driven development
• Familiarity with design systems, accessibility standards, and testing tools
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a remote team
