Meet Brad - I didn’t get into recruitment by accident.

I didn’t get into recruitment by accident. I’ve always been interested in how great teams are built and what separates companies that move fast from the ones that don’t.
Over the last 7+ years in tech recruitment, I’ve worked across everything from early-stage start-ups to large enterprise businesses, helping them build out engineering, product and leadership teams across Europe. More recently, my focus has been on AI, particularly NLP, Voice AI and conversational systems.
It’s a space that’s constantly evolving, and that’s what keeps it interesting.
The reason I joined Tides was simple.I wanted to be part of something more focused.A team that genuinely understands its market, works closely with clients and candidates, and takes a more considered approach to hiring.
Not volume.
Not transactional.
Not surface-level conversations.
At Tides, the work is centred around AI, data and modern engineering, supporting companies that are building real products and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. That changes the type of conversations you have. You’re not filling roles, you’re helping shape teams.
You’re working with founders, engineering leaders and candidates who care deeply about what they’re building. And you’re operating in a market where things change quickly, which means you’re always learning.
That’s what stood out to me.
Since joining, it’s been about continuing to build relationships across the AI space, particularly across Europe and the DACH region, and helping both clients and candidates navigate a market that’s becoming more specialised and more demanding.
If you’re working in AI, or building a team in this space, always happy to connect and share what I’m seeing.
