Meet Sara Vošinek Gašpar
Head of Talent Acquisition at Synthesia
Hi Sara, thank you for taking the time to chat with us. To start, could you tell us a bit about your role and how long you have been with Synthesia?
Absolutely. My name is Sara Vošinek Gašpar and I have been part of Synthesia for two exciting years. I started as a Tech Recruiter focused on building our engineering team. At the time, we had just 8 engineers. Fast forward to today and we now have a team of around 50 talented individuals.
When I joined, there was no separate talent acquisition function, so I was the first person dedicated to that area. Since then, I have progressed to Senior Talent Acquisition Partner and now Head of Talent Acquisition. I currently lead a team of five and collaborate with colleagues across all departments to manage hiring company-wide.
That is impressive growth. How did your engineering team expand so rapidly?
When I joined, Synthesia had around 60 employees. Now we are over 300. Naturally, as the company grew, the engineering team needed to grow with it. In two years, I had the opportunity to scale the team significantly while building out the talent function. The growth has been fast paced but very rewarding.
Let’s talk about your partnership with Tides Digital. How did it begin and what kind of support were you looking for?
Our collaboration with Tides Digital started in March of last year. I was initially drawn in by a very thoughtful outreach message that showed a strong understanding of our hiring needs and challenges.
At the time, Synthesia was getting a lot of attention, which led to a high volume of applications. We were managing a heavy inbound pipeline but struggling to find certain high calibre, niche candidates. Tides stood out with a tailored approach and quickly proved their value by helping us source exactly the kind of profiles we needed.
What made Tides Digital stand out from other recruitment partners you have worked with?
Tides demonstrated strong technical understanding of the roles we were hiring for and consistently delivered candidates who matched both the skills and standards we were looking for.

Based on your experience, what advice would you give to others considering partnering with a recruitment agency?
Take time to evaluate each agency on how well they understand your company and the challenges you are facing. The right partner will show a genuine interest in your goals and be able to offer tailored support.
Prioritise quality over quantity and make sure your recruitment partner is aligned with your standards. A successful partnership depends on clear communication, mutual trust, and a shared commitment to great outcomes.
